Terrestrial Cable
WFN Strategies designs, engineers and implements terrestrial optical cable systems. These systems include a Gulf of Mexico inter-platform system in Mississippi and Texas, facilities in Alaska and Colorado, and McMurdo Station to South Pole Station.
Our staff have been involved in the design and implementation of long haul terrestrial fiber optic systems since 1983, with MCI’s deployment of the very first single mode systems in North America. That experience has continued through the design and construction of private and government networks, the management of supply contracts with Qwest to provide dark fiber, and the implementation of transmission networks over those dark fibers.
