WFN Strategies provides telecommunication system monitoring 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year from our headquarters in Sterling, Virginia, USA for cable systems worldwide. Cable systems deployed in remote locations throughout the world are linked to our remote Network Operations Center (rNOC) using dedicated leased circuits, and monitored using commercial and open-source Network Management Systems and in-house custom software solutions that automate alert capturing and rapid response calls.
From the rNOC, our staff gather fault indications, localize faults, isolate trouble, troubleshoot problems to their root cause(s), notify management and dispatch terrestrial and/or marine repair services and restoration capacity as required. Once repair and/or restoration activities are begun, we can then monitor and manage fault repair and keep management informed of progress.
WFN Strategies utilizes an enterprise class support system with worldwide web access to trouble tickets, documentation, files and live support options. A custom-built fault monitoring system automatically alerts the rNOC staff using industry standard communication methods and enables access to the information using a secure website from anywhere in the world. Customers have access to the same secure websites as the rNOC staff allowing collaborative troubleshooting and centralized Quality of Service reporting.
WFN Strategies has also designed and developed a revolutionary information system named TIMS (Telecommunications Information Management System) for the lifecycle management of telecommunication cable system data. TIMS enables us to organize and maintain documents, CAD files, GIS files, RPL data and project management information for the life of a cable system project. This information is made available using web and Windows applications that access a centralized data warehouse from anywhere in the world. These features allow us to share and deliver information 24/7/365 with employees, consultants and customers.
