Biography
Wayne
Nielsen has over
25 years of telecoms experience and developed and managed
international projects in the Americas, Far East/Pac Rim, Europe
and Middle East. He possesses a
postgraduate Masters degree in International Relations, and
Bachelor's Degrees in Economics and Political Science.
Throughout the 1980s and 90s he worked for British Telecom,
Cable & Wireless and SAIC. In 2001, he founded WFN
Strategies, which provides project development and engineering
of remote communications for telecoms, defense and oil & gas
clients. Recent projects have included inter-platform
systems in Australia, Gulf of
Mexico, US west coast, North Sea and Angola; Antarctica and Prudhoe Bay multi-telecoms systems; and
numerous transoceanic submarine cable systems. He is also
founder and publisher of Submarine Telecoms Forum magazine (www.subtelforum.com),
the industry’s considerable voice on the topic.
